![]() The Tower rooms are as nice as most found Downtown but the bathroom is smaller and the shower head is about 5 feet above the floor of the tub. I remember that it looked like his window was painted over with translucent white paint and sealed with duct tape. I never saw the rooms at the golden Gate but I expect that they are similar. His room was small with a full sized bed but furnished ok if a bit worn. The Mailman likes those since his needs are simple. Loomis - I never tried the Ogden House, which is owned by the El Co but it is different from the Pavilion rooms.Īt the El Co you have the Vintage rooms up those stairs I showed you in the warren of hallways on the 2nd and 3rd floors above the Casino. That’s a shame since it had such a nice and dingy dive bar right across Main from the Greyhound Station. The old Nevada was down that way behind the Golden Gate but it closed a few years ago. I know that hotel on Main and from what I heard it caters to the longer term guest on a budget and has accommodations similar to Elwood’s as seen in the Blues Brothers Movie. ![]() Spike - The Downtowner is near or on Fremont, not far from the Atomic.
